Abstract

Promising schemes of thyristor converters of alternating and direct voltage with artificial switching are presented. Detailed descriptions of the operation of artificial switching units in transformer and transformer-free, single-phase and three-phase circuits of various functional purposes, comparison of their operational characteristics with circuits with natural switching and multi-zone pulse modulation are given. Ref. 2, fig. 7.
