Abstract
Thyristor controlled reactive power compensator including a LC-circuit, which insist on the fourthharmonic is proposed. The proposed bridge thyristor compensator makes it possible to smoothly adjust the reactive power of the capacitor bank in the required range. The device uses thyristors 25% less than in the known similar schemes. Reducing the number of thyristors leads to improved technical and economic performance of the device: it minimizes equipment; decrease active power losses in its elements. The device can regulate the reactive power of the electrical network and correct the cosine in it. References 4, figure.
