Abstract

The article presents the features of digital transformation and digitalization of energy as processes of transition to new business models in energy. This transition is due to the use of digital technologies and the provision of new opportunities to create additional value during the generation, transmission, distribution and use of electricity. The main directions of the formation of the European policy in the field of digitization and digital transformation are given. The goals of digital transformation in the energy industry are defined and an overview of the impact of digitalization on the development processes of electric networks, industry enterprises, and the electric energy market is given. The priority areas of regulatory support in the field of Smart Grid, as a component of the digital transformation of Ukraine's energy industry, have been determined. Bibl. 14.
