Abstract
This article reviews scientific and practical role and context of experimental magnetic-hydrodynamic (ãããMHD) generator K-1 (Kyiv-1) in its past fundamental power research causes. Here we describe: hi-temperature MHD conversion features; basic elements and intersections of K-1 unit; structure and special tecchnological supplies of MHD generator. We assume contemporary actuality, perspective and practical value of MHD K-1 scientific research facility infrastructure which is currently available for purposes of innovative reforming of Ukrainian energy production. Strategy to make use of facility infrastructure is proposed: in a form of scientific hub for new energy projects development in cooperation of research, educational and commercial entities interested in research and practical solutions in the energy domain.
